Formation Ratio Calculator

Introduction

The Formation Ratio Calculator (FRC) is the advanced version of the Turn Ratio Calculator (TRC). TRC focuses on ratio calculation for a single unit and turn flow, while FRC is used to build a complete battle timeline with environment settings, teams, Rounds, ally actions, Fiend actions, character stat sources, and full-team calculation results.

Documentation Guide

The FRC guide is split by the actual setup order:

• Environment and Teams: Configure the Fiend environment, attackable parts, SP, and teams
• Fiend Skills: Create skills that can be reused in Fiend turns
• Rounds and Actions: Configure ally actions and Fiend turns for each Round
• Working with Formation Templates: Import formation templates into FRC, or export FRC data as a formation template
• Results and Presets: Configure calculation modes, review results, and save FRC data

Quick Start

When using FRC for the first time, think of the workflow as: create the environment and teams, build the battle timeline, then choose how each member should be calculated. Recommended flow:

1. Click "Environment Settings" and configure the mode, Fiend attackable parts, head position, weak point bonus, Fiend attribute, Fiend stats, and SP.
2. Click "Team Settings", create teams, add characters, and confirm each character's base stats, gear, and costume settings.
3. Start building Rounds: choose the team used by the current Round, then configure ally action order, skills, positions, and states.
4. If you already have a formation template, you can import it from the "Formation Template" menu first, then return to complete the environment, teams, and Fiend settings.
5. Create or select Fiend skills, and confirm each Fiend turn's skill, hit preview, Fiend states, and ending mode.
6. Add, copy, or organize more Rounds with Round Manager until the full battle timeline is complete.
7. Click "Start Calculation" and decide whether each character should use gear optimization, GearPicker Mode, automatic final stats, or manually entered final stats.
8. Review "Ratio Overview" and character damage reports. Use "Formation Presets" when you need to keep FRC settings, or "Export as Formation Template" when you want to return to the formation template system.

Where Should I Start?

Start from scratch

Complete Environment and Teams, then build the battle timeline in Rounds and Actions. This is the most complete workflow and is best for new Fiends or new setups.

Start from an existing formation template

If you already created ally actions in the site's formation template tool, import it from Working with Formation Templates. After importing, still verify the Fiend environment, Fiend skills, Fiend turns, and calculation member settings.

Only verify damage with known final stats

If you already know a character's final stats, enable "Use Custom Final Stats" in character settings, or apply final stats from the Character Stat Calculator. Then, in "Start Calculation", let that character use custom final stats. This is useful for quickly validating a timeline without optimizing every character's gear.

When Should I Use FRC?

FRC is suitable when you:

• Need to calculate multiple damage dealers at the same time.
• Need to account for team rotation.
• Need to configure Fiend attacks, Fiend states, Fiend skills, or Fiend turn ending conditions.
• Want to compare total formation damage and each character's contribution.
• Want to allocate gear across the full team using the GearManager inventory.
• Want to import a formation template into FRC for further editing, or export FRC ally actions back into a formation template.

FAQ

Q. What is the difference between FRC and TRC?

A. TRC is a turn ratio tool for the regular subscription tier. FRC is the advanced subscription tier's enhanced version, adding support for teams, positions, Fiend actions, multi-character results, and full formation optimization.

Q. Why can't I click the Team Settings button?

A. Finish "Environment Settings" first. FRC needs to know the Fiend attackable parts and battlefield settings before it can create teams and Round data.

Q. Can I import an existing formation template directly?

A. Yes. Open the "Formation Template" menu and click "Import Formation Template" to import from public templates, my templates, local templates, cloud templates, or share links. After importing, still check whether the environment, teams, and Fiend turns match your current needs.

Q. Why do some characters need final stats before calculation?

A. When starting a calculation, characters that are not optimized and are set to custom final stats use the stats you entered or applied from the Character Stat Calculator for damage replay. If final stats are missing, the system will ask you to fill them in first.

Q. Can I turn FRC data into a normal formation template?

A. Yes. Open the "Formation Template" menu and click "Export as Formation Template" to enter the template save flow. Note that formation templates mainly save ally timeline data and fields the template system understands. FRC-only Fiend skills, Fiend turns, calculation results, and GearPicker calculation settings are not fully converted into the template.
